Candolim Beach
Candolim Beach is located between Calangute Beach and Sinquerim Beach. It’s a very beautiful beach; you can say it’s just an extension of the Calangute beach. The majority of the people who frequent this beach do so mainly because it is quieter than Calangute Beach. This beach is mostly crowded with people, who can be seen swimming, lying on beach beds, or relaxing under beach umbrellas. You can also see locals fishing along the quieter patches of the beach.
The people of Candolim have the distinction of being the first people in Goa to have made a serious attempt to overthrow the Portuguese in 1787, but the plot was discovered by the Portuguese authorities. It was also known as the Pinto Revolt or the Pinto Conspiracy, and in Portuguese as A Conjuração dos Pintos.
