arambol Beach
Arambol (Harmal/Hormola) is one of the few remote beaches in Goa. It’s a beautiful beach and a peaceful village. Most of the foreigners who visit this beach do so because it is very quiet and peaceful.
Arambol is basically a fishing village. There are guest houses along the street, and many people give their houses or parts of their houses on rent to the tourists. The main beach is a nice place to swim. A freshwater lake is just below the hill if one moves further north along the beach coast. People usually have a sea bath, followed by a mud bath at the stream above the lake (which is said to have a healing effect on the skin), and then a bath at the freshwater lake. You can get world-wide cuisine here; some restaurants are run by foreigners in partnership with locals. The prices are very economical.
There are quite a number of beach shacks and guesthouses at Arambol. The Keri/Querim beach is located to the north of Arambol. To the south is Mandrem Beach.
