Morjim Beach is situated on the northern side of the Chapora River. One can see the beautiful Morjim beach from the Chapora fort. It is a nesting ground for Olive Ridley turtles. There are a number of beach shacks along the Morjim beach. Morjim is basically a fishing village. Ashwem Beach is situated up north of Morjim Beach.
Morjim is situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Mapusa. The closest railway station is Pernem.
